First of all, I would like to thank You for reading this “Overlord” fanfiction of mine.
If you haven’t yet, then please leave me a comment. It’s much more fun to write things people not only read but find interesting enough to comment on and provide feedback. I’d also like to thank Maruyama Kugane for writing “Overlord” and inspiring me to write this story.
Originally I wrote this fanfiction in the Fall and Winter of 2016, which is why it follows the original volume 11. However, in 2017 I had to deal with a personal tragedy, and so I didn’t feel like writing the last two parts to finish this story.
I’ve come back to it in early June of 2018. I was horrified at all of the typos and other errors that littered the pages of this story. So I’ve edited it, fixing (hopefully) most of the typos and incorrect word usage. I’ve also rewritten some of the scenes and also elaborated on why certain choices were made by the characters of the story. I feel it came out pretty good, not the best it could be, but pretty good.
I have big plans for the future, as I wish to pursue writing professionally. Of course, as a none native speaker (I was still taking English as a Second Language – ESL, in high school,) I feel my writing is inadequate given my lofty goal. I need to improve first, and the best way to improve is to write, a lot.
Then what better subject to write about than more “Overlord” fanfiction! That’s right, this Volume 12 is only the beginning. Right now I plan to write about 4 more volumes, following this one. Given my current writing speed, this should take me about 6 months, and with two updates per week, it will take about 10 months for all four volumes to be released.
It’s a long road, but one I hope you will take with me.

Thank you for writing it. Although I can still find some errors here and there, the story overall is entertaining. However, I find the change in the character’s mentality oddly discomforting but will chalk it up to different authors and their representation of the characters.
Thanks, Jack. Do keep in mind that Volume 12 was the first thing I’ve ever written (not having any beta readers at that time didn’t help either.) And although I’ve edited it in the summer of 2017, there are still quite a few typos etc. left.
I think you will find the subsequent volume to be better, both in terms of fewer errors and better use of language.

By the way, have you considered posting this on royalroad? It is an amateur writers site where you can read and write other people either original or fan-fiction novels.
Lots of people write on It, myself among them,so you get lots of comments and feedback with easy to edit pages and to add chapters.
As for your writing, there were several times you used ‘also instead of ‘although’ I think.
Other than that it was really good and hope to see more.

Hi Ben, Volume 12 is actually posted on RoyalRoad. I plan to post the rest there too, when I have time, though I have found fanfiction .net to be a more active place for Overlord fanfiction (comments/views wise.)
Also, as I mentioned in the comments above, Volume 12 was the first thing I’ve ever written, so there are plenty of typos and misused words even though I edited it before writing Vol.13.

I have also a question: Did you read the books 12 and 13 of the original novel while or before writing this? there are many topics coinciding with the original work and think about them as a prediction of Muruyama work doesn’t sound realistic. So why start from here if you already known the events in the Holy Kindom? Why begin the connection from book 11?

I am glad you are enjoying my fanfiction series. I wrote volume 12 before the official vol12 came out. When I decided to start writing again in the summer of 2018, I chose to continue from my Vol12, rather than make a new start from the official Vol13.

I was really disturbed by the names of the characters especially Felvia/Calca. But it was amazing. It feels like the “behind the scene” of the original volume 12. I really love it. I hope you do more like this. God Bless
If i were to summarize the difference between this and original would be:
Original: Almost identical to the anime version, more realistic(explaining similarity of Jaldabaoth to Demiurge, Demon Maid to Plieades, Shalltear to Honyopenyoko is twin which little hard to accept in reality), it’s follow Ainz minds(Explaining about purpose of Ainz plan before to reader then sometime later boasted by his subordinate the extension of his plan which he didn’t know before in front of him)
This fanfic: It’s showing fruit of Ainz effort which some isn’t shown from original(Recruiting adventurer, peace among human and demihuman within his kingdom, Rune weapon workers which he acquired), time of update is bit faster than the original translation ones, it’s like following Ainz subordinate minds other than Albedo and Demiurge(At some point these two explaining to reader what is the Ainz plan extension which he didn’t even know in some monologue or talk between Ainz subordinate).
Hey u write very very good.. The first time i read this fan fiction is volume 14, and i think this is from maruyama coz your story is amazing but after that i know this is difrent story.. I search in google volume 14 coz im is type person who greedy for what next story if am reading every novel include this overlord and i watch anime overlord more that 20 time in every season .. So i search LN and read that over and over again until volume 13 is the last volume from maruyama and i heard he almost quite write novel.. First i dont believe that so i searching next novel and there u are .. So now i want colect your thing but i cant find pdf file until now so i just copy and paste and save that in my MIcrosof office so i can read over and over again.. Hehe u now im not rich which mean can always online so my data just online from 12 am till 7 am.. And thank u for this novel keep work brother good luck.
i find this book fantastic a great read especially as fan-fics go. if i was to criticize, your sacrificing the characters for the sake of the story where as in the books its the other way round, in the LN, its much more about the characters interactions and their individual personalities that drive the story rather than them just being a part of a tale being told i.e. Pandora’s overacting and creeping out ainz and speaking german (what was he thinking when Ainz confided in him about his theory. that being said its a fantastic piece of literature and the fact that its different from overlord is its greatest strength as its varied enough to be your own tale, thanks again for writing this.

I can’t believe you were agonizing about your writing and English proficiency back in Volume 12. Even at this point it’s stellar work that can put most native English speakers to shame. Thoroughly.

I absolutely love your take on the characters and hope to see you wrote your own original story. I admit that I am a bit jealous of you, also being in highschool(when you originally wrote this) and despite being a native speaker and avid reader, being a absolute fool at writing.

the story is good even if i personally find not that special but i do respect the time and effort put into writing this story . i hope there will be no characters in the story that pops up from nowhere like pope neia … which should not even be mentioned in this fanfiction since she appeared in the 12 volume not 11 of the original story
