Volume 15: The Myriad Betrayals

“Volume 15: The Myriad Betrayals” is the fourth installment in my Overlord fanfiction series. It follows the events of my Volume 14: Unlikely Allies, with the two parts covering the Slane Theocracy’s attack on Nazarick and its fall out.

The saga of the great Philip is coming to an end and its conclusion will leave the Re-Estize Kingdom in a mess. Meanwhile, the Slane Theocracy has assembled their allied strike force and are planning to launch a surprise attack against the Sorcerer King’s servants, after being invited inside the Great Tomb of Nazarick. To add to the chaos, the Platinum Dragon Lord decided to join the fray via his “Sir Armoreth” suit of armor.

But soon they will all learn the truth. The truth which the Guardians realized long ago — everyone dances in the palm of the Supreme One.

    • Well according to the author’s “affirmations” this magic is capable of making anything impossible possible (this is different from doing the impossible of the omnipotent, well an omnipotent cannot kill another since it is “impossible” but as this is the usefulness of magic it yes it is capable of killing an omnipotent) that is if it is impossible to manipulate the truth itself this magic will make the Ainz able to manipulate the truth, so I believe Ainz is capable of martial arts

Everyone going to get massacre by Shalltear and Gargantua and 🙁 if they see Rubedo, they properly going to killed themself before they capture or revive to be in Demiurge happy farm 🙁 everyone who attack Nazarick going to be in the happy farm and supply a lot of scroll not to mention breeding supply for Demi who soon going be another supply.   19. Year it annoying having to keep updating based on the info we Got. Conclusion is that the date and time Jac mentions are not reliable. But as mentioned hes doing this on his own so we have to just be patient. Its worth waiting for. Awsome story.

    • I know you’re right. But it is always disappointing when it’s not posted when he says it will be and frustrating when he makes no update after he misses his self-made deadlines.

  87. The thing is, people understand that Jac does this without any profit to himself or to anyone else, and they’re not insensitive ingrates to not appreciate his commitment or quality of work. The problem arises when Jac himself insists on including deadlines to his chapters, and making promises on returning to his schedule and posting the next chapter by an estimated date. If the date he posts is incredibly ambitious and he feels he can’t keep up, he doesn’t release it, and that’s not all, he also oftentimes maintains absolute radio silence until he posts the next chapter when he can. This cycle of constant hopeful waiting, disappointments, then looking forward to the chapter with a bitter taste for as long as it takes to release…. it’s a journey that could have been avoided had Jac only known to curb his over-enthusiastic optimism and give his readers a proper deadline instead of ones he cannot meet due to several personal reasons

    • If he feels he has trouble due to personal reasons, and external academic pressure or anything of the kind, instead of still being hopeful of releasing a chapter in a cramped schedule, he could place the deadline a long time later, whatever he does, all the readers want from him is to honour his deadlines, irrespective of when it is updated to be. That his readers love his content and wish more from him despite feeling disappointed by his update times is proven by how many still return religiously back to his website every day to check whether he updated.. despite knowing deep down that he hasn’t.

First of all I would like to congratulate you for creating this splendid story !! that even changing the events of the original story followed the same context and did not lose the nucleus of the original!! my only regret is the fact that you did not do it at the beginning I would really like to see how you would work the parts with nynha, archer and in a way imina too!! I particularly do not like the end that the author gave to them not so much as I would like to see more romance between the Ains and Alberdo and the Fortear !!     • Jac stopped making release date anouncements because of complaints for not making the deadline. There is just no way to know when he will release the next one and of course something may have happened that is preventing him from working on it.

  103. I wonder if Ainz would let Mare fight Zeshi, that would be great. In the official overlord series, Demiurg advised and Ainz indicated the desire for the Dark Elf twins to find Elves and other Dark Elves to have children with. Also, Zeshi expressed a disire to have the child of whoever was strong enough to beat her and it didn’t if the person was human. In this fanime series Zeshi seems to have interest in Mare and Mare openly stated that he liked her. So if Mare fought and beat Zeshi, they are likely to get very close.

    he is updating the message board with multiple sentences, and more information!

    He is uploading multiple times a week! And they are all quality! When he misses a deadline he updates the message board that he will get it out the next day not the next week, or sometime this month!

    It’s great to be back to where we were earlier this year with weekly uploads that I would wait with baited breath for

    • Naw bud, I feel like it’s now that bad yet eh? Part 13 came out January 8th I believe going by comment dates). Plus Jac isn’t just translating….he’s making this ….art. Quite a masterpiece really. If the muse isn’t upon him there’s just nothing for it but to wait.

      Just saying, have hope. If Jac hasn’t given up, then it’s not over (he has read Maruyama’s vol 14 now so we might get a nice treat soon).

    • It should’ve been out last week, but I’ve lost my inspiration due to my business taking a dive off a cliff, and couldn’t write anything.

    Well you see i am Overlord fan and i had read original novel again and again. Waiting for the new volume i decided to cure my boredom by reading web novel.

    There are some things like turing brain into vampire which is rather a good move in web novel.
    After reading boring web novel at light speed just like Aniz read his documents and reports,I again felt eager to read the next volume of the original author.

Although the turning of events in this novel are a little different, the orginal the characters didnt change that much which is actually unexpected and follow the flow of volume 11.What different is that while orignal novel use sugar and whip plan,this novel states that Ainz as the god that conquers the world without a need of shedding blood and make ths world a place all races can coexist in peace. Although the turings of events are quite rush it is still acceptable.Also making brain vampire,and humanity strong Mare friends,the character of momon,the nature of wild magic and finally Evileye love for momon,they are undeniably exciting.It is even to the ponit that i forgot the fact that what i was reading was fanfiction.
    Althoughf there are some point that i disliks.Like that of NPC start feeling so callsd emotilns which will eventually lead for self decision. Especially the case with dead knight i start to feel.like you will use that fact to Albedo betrayal in future friday volumes.As a fan i really dont like the fact of albedo betryal and if it really happen,i doubt that i can still read oveelord.The second fact was that fighting scene while original Arthur display Ainz experience in PVP this novel frather loosely fighting scene.I dont mean it does not have but i mean i feel that the fighting scene in this novel.is rather raw .Moreoved it seems that you foreced certain events to uphold such as holy emperor becoming a vassal.It is true that aventures were attracted by Ainz propose,most were low levelled ones and single wihout family or such.And also some life valued adventures will not chose to live in the city govern by undead even after seeing E Rantel.As such vassalization is not something the ruler can decide within such liitle time and although admentite adventures are protectors of human ,there are many ways to handle.Moreover king zanic following Rennee plan which seem uncertain of the result at least to me.And lastly,Cardinals believing that Aniz revive in 2 and a half years which are the words of the Scorceous kingdom,THE POTENTIAL ENEMIE.
    That is all i have ro say. Regardless it really is a good novel.I m glad that i did read this.I deeply thanks the writer for the excitement you give me.Well i am lloking forward for NEXT FRIDAY althought that friday will be in 2021 or 2022

  148. I would love to read the final part. I swear you got some mad talent and in some parts even exceed the Novels (which at times turn too much on the spot) … especially the Zarnac part i would have loved to see in the novel! There are quite a few very smart twists.

    Ps. i also love those SoL details, AND MOST of all i want to know what happens to Jerx knight 😀

  160. So I’m an anime-only, never really read books and just started reading this from a random overlord google search. I read a couple of paragraphs and I was instantly won over by the text. I read the whole volume in a single sitting all the while cheering and having physical reactions to the things happening in it. This is unheard of me because I’ve never read a book for longer than 30 minutes. And now, just after finishing the final chapter I find out. THIS WAS A FANFICTION!? Just the fact I didn’t figure it out is proof enough that you are an amazing writer, but that you got me into books? That is an amazing achievement and I applaud you
